Dunn is a city in Harnett County, North Carolina, United States.
The population was 9,196 at the 2000 census.
It is the birthplace of early rock and roll guitar hero, Link Wray and General William C. Lee,
father of the American Airborne.
Dunn was the birth-place of Donnell Woolford who played 10 seasons with the NFL.
It is also the home of the popular beach music bands Harry's Band (formerly known as the Original
Men of Distinction) and the Band of Oz.
The city slogan is "It's all right here."
The town is home to 3 local schools. Harnett Primary for K-3, Wayne Avenue for 4-5,
and Dunn Middle School for 6-8.
